Daydreaming of SS'16
Man it’s cold outside!! The last time I remember having a blizzard was in 1996. We were stuck in the house for days. Ever so often my sister, mother and I would go outside to shovel a path to the driveway and clean the car off. I can’t tell you how many times we had to go back outside to shovel the same spot we just shoveled. I remember the snow being up so high I couldn’t properly step through the snow. Yes I had a ton of gear on but the snow was so heavy and high that it felt like we were in the mountains. We lived on a busy street next to the highway and it was an even plane. Oh the memories. Now with this snow we just got hit with, it has be day-dreaming about Spring/ Summer 2016. Yes I know! We just started Winter 2016. I love all the seasons we encounter on the North East part of USA but my favorite season is the Summer. All the colors come to life and I don’t feel like I wearing 10 pounds of clothing. Everything feels so light.
There are a few predictions to the new trends for Spring / Summer 2016. Between Vogue, Elle and The Zoe Report we are going to see more Latin inspired ruffles, white button downs that are remixed in some way, tie dye dress and pants, silver everything, romantic flowy 70’s items, playful shoulder additions, sequins in the day time and even lingerie in the daytime. It will be fun to see the many interruptions of these fashions trends mixed with last year’s trends. I am not a “follow every trend” kind of girl. I wear what makes me happy and flatters my body. Don’t get me wrong I do bibble and dabble into the latest trends but put my own twist to them.
